This Veterans Memorial Plaza is being created by the citizens of University Place to honor and celebrate the men and women of University Place and surrounding communities, both living and deceased, who have so valiantly served their country in times of peace and war. The memorial and celebration plaza is also to acknowledge the sacrifices of the families of these men and women. Lest we forget, for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, Freedom Is Not Free.
